About The Artist
Quincey McElroy has lived her life at the intersection of agriculture, conservation, and art. Growing up in rural North Florida in a family with a long history of farming, she draws much of her inspiration from the nature and culture that surrounded her. She carries her roots with her and lets them influence her creativity today.
As an Artist, Illustrator, and creative problem solver, she's always looking for opportunities to flex her skills or learn new ones. Her work is multifaceted and has spanned everything from shop Murals to Video Games.
Quincey began drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil and took multiple art classes through elementary and high school to improve her skills, including taking animation classes with Disney Animator Chad Stewart.
She attended SCAD from 2019 to 2023, getting her BFA in Illustration and Concept Art for Animation and Video Games. She also minored in Sequential Art and Game Design.
After graduation, she interned at ASL Aspire, where she worked as the Illustrator and Art Generalist on the Game Design Team. She collaborated with the close-knit team to conceptualize new educational games and determine the required aesthetics and art. She also worked on many of the chapter illustrations and ensured that all art was engaging and accessible to all students, including those with visual disabilities.
When she isn't doing art for work, she can be found visiting her family farm in rural Florida, riding horses, and wandering in the woods. She paints and draws for her personal projects; she hopes to write one day and illustrate her own stories and graphic novels.
